For any one under 52 the state pension age will now be 67.  If you don't want to wait to that age you will need to make your own arrangements.  Even saving a little each month could mean a lower retirement age.  The sooner savings are put in place the greater the results will be.
 
By 2013 Child Benefit will be lost for all higher rate tax payers.  You may be able to use proper tax planning to keep this very valuable benefit.
